WHAT TO EXPECT

  • You will be asked to lie on the couch, expose your abdomen, following this, a hypoallergenic gel will be applied to the area. You may be asked to remain on your back, lay on your side or take a deep breath and hold your breath for a brief amount of time.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SCAN

  • It is helpful to wear loose fitting clothing with easy access to the area.
  • Fast for 6 hours prior to your appointment time, consuming clear fluids only within this 6 hour period.

How quickly will I receive my scan report?

At the time of your scan the sonographer will discuss any findings and recommendations with you, followed by a detailed clinical report sent directly to you within 2 working days.

Will I be seen by a qualified sonographer?

Yes all of our sonographers are fully qualified professionals.

Do I need a medical referral to go ahead with a scan?

No, we accept self referral patients. However if you have a private medical referral for a scan we can also accept this.
